I think my Dad defined it best when he said “It’s that stuff that nobody knows what it is... but they like it!”

Where and from whom do you find your inspiration?
From the bizzare and absurd which includes most of humanity.

What is your philosophy of community?
Personally I do art programs for the local youth shelter, a mentoring program for highschool students and art therapy workshops for at risk youth. I think you have to give something back if you want the community to work better.

Define art.
Art is the byproduct of living and the act of creation, I live therefore I am art.

Where and from whom do you find your inspiration?
My everyday life, I paint about what I think, feel and experience – my own insecurities and my own daydreams/musings.

What is success to you?
Being able to smile and move on to the next thing.

Its like when you have to pee really badly and your stuck in traffic.

Staring at cracks in a ceiling while necking. Whomever I am necking with.

Art can be anything you want it to be. It’s all about the context.

Life, artists like Picasso, Klee, Kandinsky etc.

What is success to you?
I used to think it meant something related to finances but now I would say success as an artist means creating new, exciting, ever-changing and relevant work. Pushing ideas and boundaries. Not the same tired thing over and over.

Art is life. It is the representation of life, its ideals, and its trials through personal creative expression.

Where and from whom do you find your inspiration?
Relationships, the city, the unknown and unsettling future that awaits mankind. Urban isolationism. Other artists, living and dead. Sleep deprivation.

Where and from whom do you find your inspiration?
Friends of mine like Jessica Williams, Mariah Csepanyi, and Brian Pescador. I look up to photographers Mary Ellen Mark, Tierney Gearon, and Katy Grannan.

What is success to you?
Acknowledgement and being appreciated.

Travel to Africa, live in Italy for a year, and get a little orange cat once I graduate.

Patience and being able to let go.

Where and from whom do you find your inspiration?
Ancient civilizations, cycles of nature, the ocean, plants, symbols, systems, mechanics, icons, and politics.

What is success to you?
“A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and gets to bed at night, and in between he does what he wants to do.” - Bob Dylan.

What is your recipe for love?
Depends on what kind of love I guess. To love a woman it’s: 1 gallon Physical Attraction to get things started, 1 gallon emotional attraction to keep things in motion, 2 gallons sex, 1 gallon laughter and maybe a pinch of being able to not say something stupid to piss her off.

I'm not sure that it can be defined, or that I'm qualified to do the job.

Where and from whom do you find your inspiration?
All over the place - a good song, a good read, friends, nature - human, animal and otherwise, I'm a big fan of folk stories and mythology.

What is success to you?
Being content with the quality of work I produce. Pushing the scene, the medium, the messages.

What is your philosophy of community?
It is absolutely necessary to survival. If you can't find one, create one.

Define art?
Art should be an honest reflection of where you are in life, art should be a conduit to channel your insecurities. Art should be raw and completely expressive of where you are in life.

Where and from whom do you find your inspiration?
Recently its been the journey of finding my identity, honing the idea of what responsibilities and duties that I need to fulfill, it's opened a whole universe of discoveries of my placement in this world. The relationship that I've had with my father, the intense and strange struggles that exist between us has been something I've been delving into as an inspiration to me in my design.
